Skiing & Snowboarding @ Mount Snow Dec 8

Winter is basically upon us, Skiwolves, and our final trip of the Fall Semester will be taking place this coming weekend to Mount Snow, Vermont. Consistent early season cold, combined with the snowiest November on record in Vermont, has produced some exceptional early season conditions up north, and we’ll be able to shred the slopes before the semester ends.

We'll be leaving campus at 5:15am after meeting at the SAC Loop at 5:00. As usual, we'll be stopping for breakfast on the way, having lunch at the mountain and stopping for dinner on the way back to campus. Expect to return to Stony Brook between 10pm and 11pm.

For those without adequate gear, the club is offers waterproof and insulated jacket and snowpant rentals, as well as helmet rentals, all for a nominal charge. Keeping warm and dry is an essential part of enjoying a day on the slopes, especially for only a few bucks.

Pricing for the trip is as follows:

$50 for an all mountain lift ticket and transportation.

$67.50 for a beginner package, which includes a lower mountain, beginner area lift ticket, a group lesson, and rental equipment (skis or snowboard), as well as transportation.

Season Passholders who do not need a lift ticket can grab a spot on the trip for $19.

If not getting a beginner package, rental equipment adds $38.25, and a group lesson adds $41.25

This trip is expected to fill up fast, as signups are capped at only 16 Skiwolves. Your spot is not confirmed until payment is received. All confirmed registrants can expect an email on Friday, December 7th with additional details about the trip, such as suggested apparel, any changes on meeting location, and other pertinent information.

Grad Student, Alumni and Non-Student are welcomed, however pricing adds $11.50, because we are unable to apply USG subsidy to non-undergrads.
