Killington Early Season Skiing & Snowboarding

  • Killington Ski Area (map)

Winter is rapidly approaching, Skiwolves, and we're heading north to take full advantage of the early start to this year's season. We're planning a small overnight trip to the Beast of the East: Killington Resort in the heart of Vermont's Green Mountains on Frriday and Saturday, November 16th to 17th. We'll depart campus Friday afternoon, spend the night in Killington and hit the slopes Saturday morning before returning to Long Island late Saturday evening.
============================================================
Pricing for the trip is $79, which includes your lift ticket, round trip travel and one night lodging.

Pricing is $39 if you have a Killington season pass and do not need a lift ticket. A 4.0 Season Pass is a great value if you plan to head north more than 3-4 times this season. Contact Josh (joshua.farber@stonybrook.edu) for a discount on your Killington pass ($30 off the $399 price, also valid at Pico, VT Okemo, VT and Mt. Sunapee, NH)

Rental equipment is available at the mountain at standard rates ($58). Lessons likely will not be available.

Early Season conditions will exist, which may include active snowmaking, thin cover, bare spots and other variable surfaces. Green/beginner terrain may not be available.

Signups are capped at just TEN spots, so act fast!

Grad Student, Alumni and Non-SBU Student pricing adds an extra $42, since we are unable to apply USG funding to those who aren't current undergraduates.

Here are the details:
We'll be departing Stony Brook at 2:30pm, and hitting the road for the drive up to Vermont. Friday evening we'll be staying on the Killington Access Road at the Killington Mountain Lodge, which is a short <5 minute drive to the slopes. We'll settle in and be ready to go for Saturday morning.

Saturday we'll check out of the hotel, grab a quick breakfast (included with our accommodation), and hit the slopes! We'll shred until lifts close, the exact time depends if top to bottom skiing and riding is available or if downloading the K1 Gondola will be required. Either way, we'll pack up the cars and head back to Stony Brook, arriving back close to midnight.

Only *TEN* total spots are available, so act fast as this trip is sure to fill up quickly! If you have any questions, feel free to message us at sbuskiclub@gmail.com!

See you on the slopes.
